August 30, 2021(1 event) 10:00 am: Latch and Learn: Return to Work while Breastfeeding – Return to Work and Breastfeeding is a workshop for parents who are currently breastfeeding and planning a return to work or school in the coming months. Families will have the opportunity to learn about working with your body to continue your breastfeeding journey with and around your work schedule as well as tips and strategies for those families who are wanting to wean their baby. This workshop will be offered Virtually over Zoom. Advance registration for each session is required here. |
August 31, 2021(2 events) 10:00 am: Virtual Latch and Learn! Topic: It's all about Milk Supply – It's All About Milk Supply: Many parents wonder if their baby is getting enough! Come and learn how to build and protect your milk supply and learn about normal feeding patterns. We're also happy to answer other breastfeeding questions! Join our virtual group meet-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays as we rotate through popular breastfeeding topics, answer your questions, and connect as a group. Offered Virtually 2:00 pm: Craving Connection CAMBRIDGE – Happening at 2pm on Tuesdays at Soper Park in Cambridge
After you arrive, sign in, and complete screening, find yourself a spot to sit. We do recommend that you bring a blanket for yourself and baby to sit on, and whatever toys/items you will require to keep baby entertained. During Breastfeeding Buddies Cravings Connections sessions, Covid-19 restrictions will be observed. 2m distance is required between all participants from separate households, including children/babies. Become a Buddy
Did you know that the Breastfeeding Buddies program of the Waterloo Region recently received a grant from the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation to expand peer breastfeeding support?
The campaign will mobilize many levels of partnerships to improve hospital-to-community supports and engage with priority populations to increase breastfeeding rates across Waterloo Region.
